This captivating photograph features a Snow Bunting Longspur, a rare and elusive avian gem. The journey to capture this image was an adventure in itself, spanning three days of travel on a small sailship from Iceland to Greenland. After more than a week exploring the stunning coastline of Greenland, we stumbled upon a small, desolate rock island nestled near a glacier.Expecting little more than solitude on this remote isle, I was taken by surprise when I discovered a bountiful patchs of edible berries and, to my delight, a group of small birds. However, these birds, as it turned out, were the most skittish and fearful creatures I'd ever encountered in my photographic pursuits. They were incredibly wary, and maintaining a distance of even 30 feet was a formidable challenge.With patience and a bit of stealth, I managed to hide behind a rock and seize the opportunity to capture this shot. Little did I know that these birds were not only challenging to photograph but also exceptionally rare in this particular corner of the world
