House Sparrow

Denver Colorado
Fall 2021

During a medical conference my mom was attending, I found myself with some free time and a bit of wanderlust. So, I decided to go out and explore Denver on my own, camera in tow. I had already been taking pictures of the homeless individuals who are a part of the city's fabric. As I roamed the streets, capturing the essence of urban life, I couldn't help but notice the homeless individuals who made the city streets their home. I felt compelled to document their stories, to shed light on the complex realities of urban life.I continued my exploration, and as I followed the course of a river cutting through the heart of the city, I stumbled upon an unexpected surprise. There, perfectly perched on a branch, was a bird. The sight was captivating, and it was fascinating to realize that a photograph that could easily be mistaken for a scene from the wilderness was taken right in the midst of a bustling urban landscape.
